This is a photo from my New Zealand trip of 2004. Lots of great photos posted up to Flickr from that trip.
I went to New Zealand thinking I might try to emigrate there.
After spending 6 weeks in a rented camper-van driving some 1500 miles around the North and South Islands, I decided to stay home for now and work on changing things from the inside, rather than leaving and giving up.

backlit hoar frost leaves
Ireally love the warm tone the sun gives this. The frost melted about 20 minutes later--the sun was just too much for it.
frosty plant
A cold foggy morning produced some wonderful hoar frost. I think this is a yuca plant covered in some pretty impressive icy spikes.
