About this deal

After returning from serving her country, Georgia takes a job working for her brother's best friend as his nanny. She has always had a thing for Eric, and now she will do anything to have him. She seeks anything she can to give her a rush of adrenaline and to show her that she is still alive. She has been jumping out of planes and seeking thrills wherever she can, and she knows that sex with Eric would be another earth-shattering adventure. But Eric refuses to touch her and although she can see the desire in his eyes has never acted on anything he feels for her. After losing his sister in a horrible accident, Eric took in his nephew Nate and is focused on making him his top priority. When his best friend asks him to give his little sister a job, Eric can't help but agree. But Georgia is determined to take their friendship to the next level no matter how many times Eric tries to avoid crossing the line. But the more time they spend together, the more Eric realizes that Georgia is not the same girl she once was, and he refuses to be just another thrill for her. Can Eric and Georgia figure out a way to get over her past and the obstacle of her brother, as well as provide a stable relationship for Nate? Or will there just be too many things keeping them from pursuing a future together? A great, great read that took me by surprise!! It exuded heart, steam, vulnerability, taking risks, and working toward your future!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!! I'm so used to military men getting justice in stories after they come from duty and to see it coming from a female's perspective for a change was just golden for me! Georgia was one hell of a gem and I hope that Liam gets a story as well! Nice job Ms. Stone and thank you for offering me a copy of your work!! Danielle es ingenua, inocente y una chica muy dulce. Ella necesitaba hacer todo esto de la seducción y el sexo para poder expresarse y al menos tener conocimiento de las cosas por haberlas vivido.

Now the issue I kept running into was that the sexual tension felt forced. I couldn’t understand the instantaneous lust they were supposed to have for each other after knowing one another for 5 minutes. Also, as I kept reading I found it difficult to care about the main characters. Believe me, I tried. Evan Pak meets Riley Flood in one of those meet-cute/one-off chance situation. Evan is helping his older brother Tommy in a photo-shoot for Riley's newest cover album. Immediately, I fell for Evan's narrative voice. I always love snarky-rambling-when-nervous characters, and Evan fits that to a "T". I wasn't really sure of Riley at first though -- since the story was written solely from Evan's perspective, Riley came as a bit mysterious, a bit arrogant, and totally unpredictable, even until the very end.I did think Even felt almost psychic in how he so immediately knew what Riley wanted and needed, unless there were coded clues I missed, there were no hints. The ending also seemed rushed. In fact, the rushing seemed to start with the change in narrative style at almost exactly 50%. But all in all, I had fun with it. The brother’s best friend trope, when written well, is an out and out winner, and the author really pulled out all the stops for Georgia and Eric’s story. Both have issues in their pasts that make them reluctant to commit to a future together.

While the reasons for it may be different, both of them feel intensely responsible for supporting their birth families and neither of them are able to open a space in those feelings for their own artistic dreams – because art doesn’t make money they both believe their families still need. Jumping to the epilogue shows I made the right decision because seriously, get a grip, your sister's sex life is none of your damn business and if you value her happiness over some adolescent idiotic self-centered urgh blah, be freaking happy for her for choosing your best friend, rather than be such an asshole douche about it. And the hero and heroine might as well care less about some juvenile brother and just do their things. We're all adults here, act like it.I also appreciated that Violet was in more scenes than in the first two books. I really hoped that she would get her own little series or one full novella. I wanted to see just how naughty she could be, but I also wanted her to find love. I thought she deserved it as much as Danielle did. Logging company owner Eric has had a whole lot on his plate the past few months and the one person who had become a reliable constant was Georgia. He was so happy she was home safe and now under his roof, helping him with his nephew. Of course all of that was making his attraction to her hard to ignore. But he knew there were a million and one reasons why he needed to stay away from Georgia. For one, his best friend and her brother, would kill him. Unfortunately, he has to push all of that aside when a fire starts on his mountain and threatens not only an entire town, but the future of his logging business. Jealy/Possy/OTT H/h: Spencer wants to spend as much time as possible with Josie, becomes possessive of her

Its a question of long loves finally getting their time – but with a slew of problems accompanying them that need to be sorted before a happy ending can result. I found the mental problems Georgia has really interesting. It must happen all too often, soldiers see and experience things that affect them adversely and they have to learn to live with them. Things seen and done can’t be changed, but its hard for the person concerned to adapt. They don’t want pity or sympathy but help and understanding and I guess they don’t get it too many times. Throw in the mix the work problems, and the friendships and its a romance that has lots of interesting points, along with some smoking sexual tension and hot sensual interludes. I started reading this book on June 21st and I finished the book the same day. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes. I tried, I really did but it kept calling my name. Where the book was weaker, in my opinion, was the writing. As much as I liked the characters I felt like some depth of understanding was missing, particularly with Josie. The author was often telling me what Josie was like, but I still did not understand her motivations and decision-making processes. My second was with the telling instead of showing. It is my reading peeve. We could have gone on an adventure following the MCs' first date together, but we are only told what happened and how spectacular it was after the fact. We are also told the characters' feelings, even when it was obvious, instead of shown so we could connect emotionally with them and be in their shoes.
