About this deal

No matter how well trained your dog is, and how diligently you keep to your potty-break schedule, sometimes pee happens. Whether on the carpet, hardwood floor, or anywhere else, prompt action is the best way to make sure that dog urine won’t leave a lasting impression (and smell). And even if you come upon a dried urine puddle or stain, there are still things you can do to remove the smell. Some stains may even be difficult to find. That’s when you may want to use a urine stain detector to help you find which areas need cleaning. New Urine Stains on Carpet or Fabric However, if odors are a big concern, then enzymatic products and baking soda-based products are great options because the enzymes literally consume the chemicals causing the negative odor reaction, and baking soda is well known for its ability to absorb odors and neutralize acidic compounds.

Even the best dogs in the whole world sometimes have accidents around the house, especially puppies still learning when and where they are allowed to go potty. When this happens, pet parents need a specialized dog stain and odor remover to help them effectively clean up that mess. You can find the dog stain and odor removers you need at PetSmart. Here, we want to help you keep your home fresh and clean while loving your four-legged friend. The cons: it's not 100% effective, the instructions say if the smell persists just repeat the process. Well I went through the whole bottle and if it didn't completely remove the smell by now I doubt it's going to ever. It's just one spot on the hard wood floor that still has a lingering smell. I also don't like how the about section says it's a unique product, because it's not, it's a bio enzymatic spray and there are many other options. I have a sunken room that has hard wood floors where I keep the litter boxes. Unfortunately one of my cats preferred to pee and poop anywhere but in the litter boxes. She peed in the vents, she peed behind a bunch of objects, anywhere that she could find that was discreet. I didn't catch that it was a reoccurring act unfortunately so this particular cat has peed on the floor A LOT. With that said, I have used the entire bottle in different areas of this room and other areas of the house over a period of 6 months and it has been 98% successful. It’s difficult to remove odors from hardwood floors because urine can saturate the wood. However, you have a few methods to try. The first is similar to what you’d use on carpet. Mix a one-to-one solution of white vinegar and water. Using a sponge, rub the solution onto the stain. Let it sit for 5-to-10 minutes, and then wipe it up with a clean, dry towel. Some experts advise using a more diluted formulation of 1/2-cup vinegar to one gallon of warm water. If you’re nervous about the effects of vinegar on your floors, try this more diluted version. Either way, test the solution on a small inconspicuous section of floor first. If you are looking for something that will work well on stains but you don’t have many concerns about odors or you aren’t worried that your dog will re-soil the area, then something with hydrogen peroxide or another bleaching agent is a good option. These products will work on odors but are primarily formulated to treat stains. The pros: the instructions say to not let it puddle up as it may stain the floors, well it didn't stain and I sprayed A LOT at once. I used it inside the vents, that are metal ducting (I'm not going to get into my rusting concerns as you may imagine it's more important not to be inundated with cat piss smell when you want to be warm) and it removed the smell!

We are so confident that if My Pet Peed doesn't work, nothing will, and replacing the damaged surface is your only option. Unlike other stain removers, this spray is pet-safe and can be used on a variety of surfaces without the risk of damaging the finish or fabric. Made in the USA with eco-friendly components, this spray was also created to minimize its environmental impact. Additionally, it can be used on all kinds of pet messes, like urine, drool, feces, and vomit.

I’ve tried soooo many products, buying over and over again in hopes of killing the cat pee odor which is literally almost as hard to get rid of as skunk odor. Angry Orange. Nature’s Miracle. Rocco & Roxie. There’s another I can’t remember but it was crap.

Start by rinsing the area thoroughly with plain water. Use a wet-dry vacuum cleaner and keep saturating and vacuuming the area until clean. Do not use a steam cleaner, since the heat will set the odor and the stain permanently. If you don’t own a wet-dry vacuum, you can try wetting and blotting the spot repeatedly, using warm water and clean towels. Dealing with dog urine stains is a frustrating part of pet ownership and finding a product that is powerful enough to combat these accidents the first time can be challenging. For lingering odors or stains, there is one product we cannot recommend enough. The Advanced Bio Enzymatic Pet Stain Eliminator Spray by Hepper is by far the best product we have tested. Not only is it effective in removing harsh stains and undesirable smells caused by various pet accidents, it does it without the use of harsh chemicals, additives or fragrances. Another method adds one more household staple, vinegar. In a clean spray bottle, mix one cup of distilled white vinegar with one cup of water and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Shake it up to mix the ingredients, and then spray on the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then blot with towels until clean. Dried Dog Urine on Fabric and CarpetsBest part is they haven’t tried to pee again on those spots on the carpet. One was adopted when he was a little older and wasn’t neutered. He was marking the carpet but stopped about 2 months after getting neutered. Otherwise they’re consistently good about using the litter box.
