Best described as the olfactory equivalent of gold, Aurum is as decadent as its name sake. Irresistibly romantic and seductive, tempting rose, chocolate and strawberry all conjure the most sensual notes. Like the most precious metal from which it takes its name, Aurum captivates and entices as it warms against the skin, revealing hints of its opulent character as time goes by. Xerjoff Spotlight La Capitale is a fragrance that opens with fresh strawberry, peach, and caramel, leading to a heart of Iranian saffron, ginger, rose, and amber. The base consists of oud and vanilla bourbon, making it a sensual journey through warming ingredients. What Does It Smell Like? Speaking further on that leather, I don't feel like it does this perfume any favours? Just makes it a little more 'dirty'.

Let's start with complex esters, which largely define the strawberry's diffusive berry profile. These are mainly ethyl and methyl esters, with methyl-2-methylbutyrate, ethyl-2-methylbutyrate, and ethyl-3-methylbutyrate deserving special mention (such a profile is typically called "tutti-frutti": berry-like with fresh tropical tones and notes of apple, pineapple, mango, cherry, apricot, papaya, plum, grape, and quince), methyl butyrate, methyl- and ethyl hexanoates (pineapple, banana, waxy), butyl acetate, and methyl cinnamate (balsamic, cinnamon, strawberry, cherry, tropical nuances).I think of Luna as the more feminine version of Aqua Reggia, and a more palatable version of Aurum. It's a similar fragrance in terms of the bright citrus, rose, and Singapore patchouli framework of all 3, but minus the horrid synthetic strawberry, oud/musk combo (registering as piss to my sensitive nose), and incense of Aurum; and much less musky than AR, without the leather/oud notes. Instead, Luna possesses a beautiful caramel note, which to my nose reads more like sweet cream butter. Then dials up the clean, striking florals, while dialing down the dirty in the patchouli. I do love the oud in Kemi and 'Ilm, but it just doesn't work with the strawberry and musk of Aurum at all. Appreciating the fact the creator mercifully excluded oud from this one, thereby making Luna a gorgeous and modern floral chypre. Also strange is that not a single previous reviewer mentioned the resemblance with La Capitale from Xerjoff, specially since both perfumes share the same olfactory profile down to the doll head smell. Don’t read my review if honesty, sarcasm and a dash of satire affect you personally. Imagine being emotionally affected by a review 😂 You’ve probably superglued your hand to an art painting in the name of climate change or really want to. Join the peace corps or do charity work so you can have a real reason to be sad and offended. Relax, it’s a perfume review for people like me who are frustrated for 3 seconds on unimportant things.

The fragrance is a complex blend of spicy, woody, and warm notes, making it a unique and vintage choice for those who appreciate the classics.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Baccarat Rouge 540: If you’re a fan of Xerjoff’s gourmand fragrances like Lira, you might enjoy Baccarat Rouge 540. It offers a sweet and spicy scent profile with notes of saffron, amberwood, and jasmine. Complex esters can be considered as adducts of carboxylic acids and alcohols. Free acids and alcohols also play a significant role in strawberries' smell; let's mention terpene alcohols, among which linalool, nerolidol, citronellol, and β-terpineol deserve special mention. Among the terpenes, limonene can be highlighted: it often forms an important part of strawberry perfume bases. Cozy as hek, yummy, spring, summer, fall. The greenness of the fig leaf to me doesn’t fit a winter scenario, but i certainly see cool, grey days, cloudy, overcast, stormy and rainy days for this scent. More casual vibes. Coffee, casual dinner, lunch, movies, shopping... cuddling. Maybe outdoor walk. 100% gourmandy scent. Epic Xerjoff quality.

Mukhallat' is extremely addicting on my skin. This smells slightly Western retro like those strawberry-vanilla scented dolls from the 70s to 90s but way more delicious, smoother & complex. It's playful, feminine, fun & oh so luscious. I've never smelled this on anyone before! The complete dry-down is a musky, vanilla-almond...reminds me slightly of Dior's 'Poison Girl' EDP & 'Hypnotic Poison' EDP. Not dupes! but sharing those 'almond playdough' facets.Definitely unisex, leaning feminine. That said, if you like the "cassanova" vibes you get in Mancera Intense Cafe, you'll get that same feeling here. Again, talking about the vibe / personality of the fragrance, not saying they smell the same.
